McKenzie is a licensed and registered dietitian, professionally certified in functional nutrition. She believes in practicing and promoting evidence-based nutrition approaches that draw connections to how food is medicine for the body, and how lifestyle factors can affect overall health. Beyond her passion for functional nutrition, McKenzie specializes in plant-based nutrition. She is a firm believer of “all foods fit,” and enjoys working with clients with a variety of food preferences, not limited to vegetarian/vegan diets. She offers a warm space for her patients to express their thoughts and feelings, and welcomes collaboration with the shared goal of optimizing the client’s health and wellbeing.
McKenzie graduated with her Master’s degree from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. She has previously worked as a clinical inpatient dietitian in a hospital setting, with a focus on cardiovascular and GI health/surgery. During this time, she enjoyed supporting patients with a wide variety of concerns, including autoimmune conditions and oncology nutrition.
Outside of her time at work, McKenzie enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, live music, and spending time with her partner and two cats!
At the center of McKenzie’s work, clients will always find compassion, empathy, and individualized care. She blends evidence-based practice and clinical wisdom to provide personalized interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. There is a world of difference to be made in the lives of others through the scope of a dietitian, and McKenzie hopes to help you reach your goals.
