Katrina is a registered dietitian with more than five years of experience providing nutrition care in clinical and behavioral health settings. She is passionate about helping clients develop a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food while supporting their physical and mental well-being. She believes nutrition care should be individualized and flexible, and that food can be both nourishing and an important part of a fulfilling life.
Much of Katrina’s clinical experience has centered around eating disorder recovery and mental health. She has worked with clients across residential and partial hospitalization levels of care, supporting individuals with a range of eating disorder presentations, supporting individuals and families throughout the recovery process. She also has experience incorporating Family-Based Treatment (FBT) into nutrition care and working closely with children, adolescents, and their families throughout the recovery process.
Katrina’s approach is grounded in weight-inclusive, non-diet principles. She is passionate about helping clients move away from rigid food rules and diet culture while developing greater flexibility, confidence, and trust around food. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered in their nutrition choices and find an approach to eating that supports both their health and their quality of life.
Katrina earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama and completed her master’s degree and dietetic internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Outside of work, Katrina is a lifelong football fan, with a special place in her heart for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Seattle Seahawks. She also enjoys baking, and is always happy to have an excuse to make a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls!
