Ali is a registered dietitian and licensed professional counselor specializing in eating disorders, emotional eating, intuitive eating, PCOS nutrition, and weight inclusive behavioral health. With a rare dual background in medical nutrition therapy and psychotherapy, Ali provides deeply integrated, evidence based care that supports both the physical and emotional dimensions of healing.
For more than a decade, Ali has worked across telehealth, outpatient, and multidisciplinary treatment settings, helping individuals rebuild trust with food, strengthen body image, and develop sustainable, compassionate relationships with their health. Her clinical approach blends intuitive eating principles, motivational interviewing, CBT and DBT informed strategies, and trauma sensitive communication. She is skilled in supporting clients navigating binge eating, restrictive eating patterns, chronic dieting, body dissatisfaction, and co occurring mood or anxiety concerns.
Ali practices through a Health at Every Size® lens, emphasizing respect, autonomy, and individualized care. She is committed to dismantling weight stigma, promoting body diversity, and helping clients cultivate wellbeing without the pressure of dieting or weight focused goals. Her expertise also includes PCOS management, emotional regulation, and supporting clients through all stages of eating disorder recovery.
Grounded in compassion and collaboration, Ali empowers clients to reconnect with their internal cues, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. She is dedicated to providing affirming, person centered care that honors each individual’s lived experience and supports their journey toward a more peaceful and confident relationship with food, body, and self.
She graduated with her Bachelors in exercise science from the University of Pittsburgh, requirements for the dietetic exam from Winthrop University and a Masters degree from Carlow University in counseling.
In her spare time, Ali enjoys spending time with family and friends; going to festivals, concerts and sporting events (Go Steelers!); being in nature and traveling as much as she can.
