Megan's Bio
Megan is a registered dietitian with nearly 20 years of experience providing direct client care. She is passionate about providing affirming and trauma-informed care to individuals along their wellness journey, and she believes all clients that come to Healthier Tomorrows will receive comprehensive, compassionate, and versatile nutrition therapy. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, and nutrition related chronic diseases. She is also a co-founder of HeaL Collaborative in Chicago, a group created to bring together eating disorder professionals, and offer a supportive and inclusive community for connection, growth and education.
In addition to her work with clients, Megan is also passionate about her role as the founder and leader of Healthier Tomorrows. Since its founding in 2009, Megan has worked to create a team of caring, warm and welcoming registered dietitians with the goal of building a leading nutrition counseling practice where clients with all types of nutrition needs would feel safe, heard, and supported. Her vision for Healthier Tomorrows has been mission driven: to provide uncompromisingly excellent clinical care; to provide support for dietitians to learn, grow, shine professionally, and to be respected members of a comprehensive treatment team; and to continue to focus on accessibility of care for the clients looking for nutrition counseling services.
Megan received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Whitman College and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University. She completed her clinical training through the University of Houston, completing rotations at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, and Memorial Hermann Hospital. Megan is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and is also a member of the National Eating Disorders Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
