McKenna is a compassionate registered dietitian who works with clients to build a peaceful, sustainable relationship with food. She practices using the principles of Health at Every Size® (HAES®) and embraces an “all foods fit” philosophy—helping clients break free from food rules and reconnect with their body’s cues and needs.
At the heart of McKenna’s approach is forming meaningful, respectful partnerships with her clients. She takes the time to get to know each individual and meets them where they’re at, recognizing that healing begins with trust, collaboration, and personalized care. Her goal is to support each client’s unique health journey through inclusive, evidence-based nutrition counseling.
McKenna works with adolescents, young adults, and adults, and has particular interest and experience in the following areas:
- Eating disorder recovery
- Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
- Oncology nutrition
- Sports nutrition
- Diabetes management
- Weight and metabolism
- Intuitive eating
- Celiac disease and gluten intolerance
- Women’s health
- Functional nutrition
She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Minnesota, where she also completed her dietetic internship. During her internship, McKenna’s most meaningful experiences included working in an inpatient oncology unit and providing care at an eating disorder rehabilitation center—both of which continue to shape her compassionate, whole-person approach to nutrition.
McKenna began her career in long-term care, where she developed expertise in supporting older adults with chronic disease management, malnutrition, and weight-related concerns.
Outside of her work, McKenna enjoys cooking new recipes, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family—and she’s a proud dog lover who’s always happy to swap pet stories with clients. She strives to make nutrition approachable, inclusive, and aligned with each client’s goals, values, and lifestyle.
