Brianna's Bio

Brianna is a registered and licensed dietitian who is passionate about applying the intuitive eating principles to help her clients find food freedom. Brianna utilizes the Health at Every Size approach to help her clients build a healthy relationship with themselves and their body. She works closely with her clients to create individualized goals and supports them as they make changes and work toward achieving those goals.

Before joining Healthier Tomorrows, Brianna worked as a dietitian in an eating disorder treatment center with clients in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.  Brianna helped clients heal their relationship with food, movement, and their body image through one-on-one sessions, leading nutrition education and movement groups, teaching cooking skills, and supporting clients through exposures.

In addition to her experience working in the eating disorder field, Brianna also has experience working with clients living with diabetes. Brianna has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 11 years. She is passionate about supporting those living with diabetes learn how to eat the foods they love and find sustainable strategies to meet their blood sugar goals. Brianna understands on a personal level the challenges of living with a chronic disease:

“Living with diabetes can make the relationship between food and ourselves even more difficult. Those living with diabetes see how food, exercise, stress, etc. have a direct impact on their blood sugar levels. It can be hard not to blame ourselves when we have a high or a low blood sugar and want to avoid that food because of the negative experience. I recognize that it is not possible or realistic to have perfect blood sugars all the time. By learning to give ourselves grace, and problem-solve, living with diabetes gets easier and takes less from our lives.”

Brianna also has experience working with clients on sports nutrition-related topics, and she enjoys teaching her clients how to fuel their bodies and feel their best when engaging in movement.  Brianna previously worked as a dietitian and personal trainer at a community gym, where she supported clients in reaching health and fitness goals through a non-diet approach.

Brianna received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University. She completed her dietetic internship and earned a Masters in Nutrition and Physical Performance from Saint Louis University.

In her free time, Brianna loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her cat, Teco. She enjoys being outside, reading, and trying new restaurants!
