Amanda's Bio
Amanda is a registered and licensed dietitian who is excited to be a part of the Healthier Tomorrows team. Amanda graduated from the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!) with a Bachelor’s in both Exercise Science and Dietetics. Amanda also received a Master’s in Exercise Science from Arkansas State University. She completed her dietetic internship through the University of Houston.
Amanda has spent her dietetics career assisting a wide range of clients in the outpatient setting. Her focus is on creating sustainable lifestyle choices to help her clients reach their nutritional goals. Amanda is passionate about her clients and providing a safe space in which they can share their hardships. Amanda has experience working with disordered eating, sports nutrition, diabetes management, GI disorders, and cardiovascular health. She has also worked at the collegiate level providing nutritional guidance to athletics teams.
In addition to outpatient counseling, Amanda was an adjunct faculty member at Arkansas State University and taught classes in both the Dietetics program and Exercise Science program. Classes that she taught included Fundamentals of Sports Nutrition, Community Nutrition, and Special Topics in Nutrition. She also served as a preceptor for dietetic students at Arkansas State University.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters! She also is a competitive tennis player, loves spin classes and kickboxing, and is a self-proclaimed Disney adult!
